Founded in Germany in 1990 by a Peruvian mother and her German husband, Manuela Bedford has spent more than three decades creating timeless knitwear from the world's finest alpaca fibres.
Our collections combine Peruvian craftsmanship with European design, resulting in garments that are understated, contemporary and made to last for many years.
Today, we continue this philosophy together with carefully selected production partners in Peru and Europe. For us, sustainability is measured not only by materials or certifications, but by longevity. Peruvian Alpaca Knitwear
Sometimes it's precisely the items of clothing we wear most often that become especially dear to us. A soft alpaca cardigan that's been with us for years. A sweater that instantly feels familiar on cold days. A scarf that not only keeps us warm but also holds memories.
And then suddenly there's a small hole, a damaged area, or a pulled thread.
What used to be taken for granted is often overlooked today: many high-quality knitwear items can be repaired. It's especially worthwhile to take a closer look at items made of fine natural fibers. Because not everything that's damaged needs to be replaced. Much of it can be salvaged.
This is especially true for clothing made from alpaca . Those who consciously choose high-quality materials usually also opt for durability, quality, and careful handling of their clothing.
